DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I'd wondered about using Poser to create the image before, but thought it wasn't allowed, as it isn't a raytracing renderer. A question to the IRTC mailing list cleared that up. One of the ideas I'd had for this round was two kids making their way home, tired after a long summer's day; this idea seemed the best-suited to Poser, so I scaled the figures, added the hair that came with the program (I was hoping to make new hair, but ran out of time) and used Sonya Roberts' POV trees.inc to render a background image at 640x480, since I wasn't sure that Poser could render 800x600. It wouldn't accept that, so I had to halve the size of the image (augh! I could've rendered it in 30 minutes!) and use that instead. The Poser lights were positioned to line up with the main and infill lights that I'd used for the POV image, and I then just seemed to spend ages on the kids' positions. And I never did make a Poser teddybear for one of the kids to carry :-( .
